Abstract--The problem of Angle of Arrival estimation of multiple sources in the presence of mutual coupling is addressed. The presence of unknown mutual coupling between antenna array elements is known to degrade the performance of super resolution direction-finding algorithms. In this paper, we propose an iterative algorithm based on Alternating
Projection in order to optimise the Maximum Likelihood cost function, which takes mutual coupling into account. Simulation results demonstrate the potential of the proposed algorithm, as it is compared to the Cramer-Rao bound of joint mutual coupling and Angle of Arrival estimation.
