Ayşe Ünsal was born in Izmir in 1984. She received her B.Sc. (2002) and M.Sc. (2007) degrees in Statistics. She received her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication from Télécom ParisTECH in November 2014. She worked as researcher in several labs as Signal and System Theory Group of Paderborn University, Germany, CITI Lab of INRIA/INSA Lyon and Communication Systems of EURECOM.
Since September 2020, she works as a researcher at the Digital Security Dept. of EURECOM. Her position is funded by 3IA, the Interdisciplinary Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Université Côte d’Azur. Her research interests include several topics in information theory such as joint source-channel coding, coded caching, coding with finite blocklength, in addition to her recent focus on security and privacy.
