Flavio Maschietti is a PhD candidate in the Mobile Communications department of EURECOM, under the supervision of Professor David Gesbert.
In July 2015, he received his Master's degree (summa cum laude) in Telecommunications Engineering from La Sapienza, University of Rome. His Master's Thesis, for which he received an excellence award from La Sapienza, was carried out in Supélec, École supérieure d'électricité.
In 2016, he joined Intel for a 6-month research internship on new coding techniques (in particular Polar codes) and their application to targeted use cases in the 5G/IoT context.
