Kien is currently a PhD student in the project with TCL Communication and the Communication Systems department of Eurecom, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Florian Kaltenberger. His research interests are focused mainly on 5G physical layer aspects that are applied to the various scenarios of Ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC).
He received the MSc with honors in 2018 about Mobile computing systems in EURECOM. His Master's Thesis was carried out in TCL Communication and was focused on the efficient transmission strategies for Ultra-reliable low latency communication
