UI GreenMetric and Smart Building for World Campuses

Absract: UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is one of the flagship program of Universitas Indonesia since the last 10 years, and has been widely accepted as the only world sustainable University ranking (http://greenmetric.ui.ac.id). It has sparked the interest of 780 universities from 85 countries to actively participate in the UI GreenMetric Network, in which many Green University Unions such as those in Spain, Italy, Russia and Taiwan collaborate for the purpose of achieving a beatifull university setting and smart Infrastructure, energy efficient, good waste, water and green transportation, as well as well performed education and research. In this talk in EURECOM, a leading academic and reseach institution in telecommunication and future technologies in Europe, Prof Riri Fitri Sari, the chairperson of UI GreenMetric will discuss the current evaluation of the achievement of Smart Building initiatives in universities worldwide and inviting the sharing of new technologies of smart wireless sensor network from Eurecom academics and researchers. Bio: Riri Fitri Sari earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from University of Indonesia in 1994. In 1997, she received an MSc in Software Systems and Parallel Processing from the Department of Computer Science, University of Sheffield, United Kingdom under the Chevening Award scholarhipfrom the British Council. She successfully completed her doctoral dissertation with research in the field of Active Network Congestion-Based Congestion Control Management and obtained her PhD from the School of Computing, University of Leeds, England. She has been appointed as a full Professor in Computer Engineering since May 1, 2009, in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. Currently, she is actively teaching and researching in the field of Computer Network, and Information and Communication Technology implementation at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. She has written more than 135 peer reviewed Journals and International Conference Papers, and has been a Senior Member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) since 2011. She was the CIO of the University of Indonesia from 2006-2014. She has been a chairperson of UI GreenMetric World University Rankings and ranked university worldwide based on sustainability effort since 2010 in which 780 universities from 85 countries participated.
