The goal of this concept workshop is to bring experts together from speech technology and law to reach a common understanding. The morning session features keynotes on needs and demands of each field; the afternoon session provides space for discussions on case studies. We are pleased to announce four keynotes, one of which is given by Thomas Zerdick, the Head of Unit IT policy at the European Data Protection Supervisor (https://edps.europa.eu/). As a pre-event, the purpose is to prepare for the upcoming Dagstuhl-style Shonan seminar on "Privacy, Ethics, and Legislation for Speech Communication", later in March 2020. Both events are supported by the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA) as part of its special interest group on Security & Privacy.
