VOICEPRIVACY 2020, February 2020

Formed in 2020, the VoicePrivacy initiative is spearheading the effort to develop privacy preservations solutions for speech technology. We aim to foster progress in the development of anonymization and pseudonymization solutions which suppress personally identifiable information contained within recordings of speech while preserving linguistic content and speech naturalness. In this document, we formulate the voice anonymization task selected for the VoicePrivacy 2020 Challenge and describe the datasets used for system development and evaluation. We also present the attack models and the associated objective and subjective evaluation metrics. We introduce two anonymization baselines and report objective evaluation results.
