We consider a wireless network with transmit and receive nodes uniformly distributed in R2. The channel state information (CSI) is known at a centralized processing unit but not at the transmitters which transmit at equal power. The network is characterized by an Euclidean random matrix (ERM). By leveraging on a suitable decomposition of the ERM, we propose an exact and an approximated analysis of its spectrum. The approximated spectral description is applied to analytically determine the capacity per unit area and frequency band of the distributed network.
