A specular approach to model MIMO frequency selective channel variations, that yields a parsimonious channel representation, is proposed. The specular structure is shown to simplify linear estimation and prediction of the channel. Identifiability of specular channels is studied, and an algorithm achieving identification is proposed. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated through computer simulations.
