Aggregation of information and entertainment plays an increasing part in our livings. Therefore infotainment is a key functionality for the satisfaction of vehicle drivers. Infotainment can increase the pleasure of driving by tempering bad drive conditions: traffic, rain, etc. The growing amount of digital assets especially music and podcasts available on-demand raises new challenges in terms of media access for vehicle drivers. From a user point of view, the creation of a playlist is an optimization process between the time necessary to create the playlist and the amount of media assets that can be selected. We will address the topic of mobile access to music metadata through the definition of a multi-layered architecture. The preselection of media-content through the use of context information is to be made possible through the processing of different context sources and the contextualising of media assets.
