Congratulations to Marios Kountouris and his co-authors for receiving the IEEE Communications Society Young Author Best Paper Award 2020!

Congratulations to Florian LUGOU, supervised by Ludovic APVRILLE (Télécom PARISTECH) and Aurélien FRANCILLON, who defended his doctoral thesis on Thursday 8 February 2018 at EURECOM. This is the first Doctor of the year 2018! His thesis topic was about "Environments for Analyzing the Security of Smart Objects".

Davide Balzarotti, Professor at Dept. Digital Security is the third teacher-researcher awarded an ERC to EURECOM with its BITCRUMPS project, "Towards a Reliable and Automated Analysis of Compromised Systems» Earned in December 2017. The main objective of BITCRUMBS is to rethink what we call the “incident response” (IR).

Meet Jean-Luc DUGELAY, Professor at the Digital Security Department of EURECOM, and Antitza DANTCHEVA (Inria), EURECOM PhD student from 2008 to 2011, during the "Café Techno" that will take place on January 25, 2018 at 1pm at the Learning Center Sophia-Antipolis.

Antitza Dantcheva and Jean-Luc Dugelay will talk about "The history of biometrics: from Alphonse Bertillon to the iPhone X".

• How do the current systems work?
• What are the prospects?

These are the questions they will try to answer.

Jérôme Härri, Professor of the Communication Systems Department of EURECOM will be General Chair of WONS 2018 (Wireless On-demand Network systems and Services Conference). WONS, now in its fourteenth edition, is a high quality forum that will take place at Isola, from February 6-8, 2018. 

Good luck to Daniele BATTAGLINO who will publicly defend his Doctoral Thesis on Wednesday 13th December, 2017 at 10:30 at EURECOM. The topic of his thesis is: "Acoustic scene classification: contributions to fundamental and applied research".

Aurélien Francillon of the Digital Security Department, will highlight his expertise on "Fraud in telephony" at the 8th IMT Symposium entitled « Entrons-nous dans une nouvelle ère de la Cyber Sécurité ? » on Friday, November 10th, 2017 in Paris.
