Doctoral program
INTRODUCTION
EURECOM offers students with a Master’s degree in research or the equivalent the opportunity to earn a doctoral degree by working on a thesis in one of its laboratories.
Registration in doctoral schools
Candidates for a EURECOM doctoral degree can register in one of the three following doctoral schools where EURECOM is recognized as a lab :
- Ecole Doctorale d'Informatique, Télécommunications et Electronique de Paris (EDITE)
- Programme Doctoral en Informatique, Communications & Information (EDIC) from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
- Doctoral schools of the non French academic partners of EURECOM
While working on a thesis at EURECOM, and under the direction of their teachers-researchers, doctoral students must respect the rules of the doctoral school where they registered.
Terms
The duration of a thesis at EURECOM is about three years, and research topics are in line with its research program. All of EURECOM’s doctoral students are paid while working on their thesis through EURECOM’s funding system, or through a research contract of public funding.
Admission
Candidates for a doctoral thesis must contact one of EURECOM’s teachers-researchers to determine a research topic. The application must include a résumé, a cover letter and one or two letters of recommendation. It is also recommended to attach any detailed information on the previous studies with the transcripts.
