Chiara Galdi, supervised by Professor Jean-Luc Dugelay, is once again in the spotlight with her thesis. She had already won the prize of the Best thesis 2015/2016 of the Italian section IEEE Biometrics. Her thesis dealt with the "Design and Development of multi-biometric systems". This time, it is with the most innovative part of her thesis, published in the article "Multimodal Authentication on smartphones: Combining and Iris Recognition Sensor for a Double Check of User Identity" that she won the prestigious Biometrics Research and Industry Award 2016 by the European Association!
