Is French knowledge required to apply?

Since all programs at EURECOM are totally taught in English, no prior French knowledge is needed and a French proficiency test is thus not required. Yet non-EU students are strongly advised to check with their local CampusFrance office/ French Consulate. Even if most French embassies will not require a French proficiency test if the curriculum is taught in English, it is better to check whether they have requirements in French to obtain the visa.

Students need to be aware that, even if French is not required to study at EURECOM, it may be relevant to start learning basic French before starting the program as these skills will be very useful if they wish to do the last semester internship in a company in France and are looking to work in France after graduation.

French courses will be given to non french speaking students all along their stay at EURECOM until they reach at least a B1 level.
