- Lorenzo Maggi was born in Pavia, Italy, in 1984.
- He received his M.Sc. in Electronics Engineering with specialization in Telecommunications from the University of Pavia in 2008. His thesis, entitled "Characterization of data-dependent noise in magnetic channel", was the result of an internship in STMicroelectronics - Computer Peripherals Group (Milano, Italy).
- In November 2009, he joined the Mobile Communications Department at EURECOM, where he is now pursuing his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Laura Cottatellucci and Prof. Konstantin Avrachenkov (INRIA). His current research interests focus on the application of game theory to wireless communications and on the development of learning algorithms for resource allocation.
He spent one year developing software in the Synthetic Aperture Radar field in Aresys, a spin-off company of "Politecnico" of Milano (Italy).
