Language of instruction:

The language of instruction is English. No prior knowledge of French language is required. However, students may take French language courses during their exchange period.

A 3-week intensive French language program is organised in September before the courses begin. This program is not compulsory, yet exchange students are encouraged to participate if they wish.

Credits and Grades:

A set number of credits are granted for each type of course (classes, project or professional thesis). To receive credits, students must take an examination and score at least a 10/20 grade.

The grading scale is as follows:

18 20       Excellent
16 – 17.5   Very good
14 – 15.5   Good
12 – 13.5   Satisfactory
10 – 11.5   Correct
  0 – 9.5     Fail

A grade of 10 and above will grant the full number of credits allocated to the course. A grade below 10 means the student has failed and will not receive any credits. Examinations can be retaken during a specific period.

The final grade of each course may be based solely on a final examination, or a combination of the final examination and coursework. Professors will explain the assessment method at the beginning of each course. Students must register to each specific course at the beginning of each term to be eligible for examination.

All information regarding the curriculum organisation (assessment, schedule...) will be delivered during the "Introduction Day" before the start of each semester.
