Refik Molva received a degree in Computer Science from the University of Grenoble in 1981 and a Ph.D. from the Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France in 1986. As part of his Ph.D. research in the Laboratoire d'Automatique et d'Analyse des Systèmes of C.N.R.S. in Toulouse, he worked on formal verification techniques and designed a protocol analyzer for multilayer architectures. He joined the Communications and Computer Science department of the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in 1987. He obtained an IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for his contribution to the integration of SNA with the OSI architecture. He is the co-author of several patents on network security mechanisms. His research interests are in the area of protocols, network interconnection, network security, communication software and formal verification techniques. Yves ROUDIER received a computer science and business management in 1992 and a PhD in computer science from Université de Nice - Sophia Antipolis (UNSA) in 1996. The focus of his thesis work was on parallel, distributed and reactive programming within an object-oriented framework and on the design of a reflexive extension of the C++ language for such applications. He spent a year and a half as an STA fellow researcher at the Electrotechnical Laboratory (ETL) in Japan, working on extending the Java language, in particular through the design of a preprocessor and preprocessor libraries for distribution. He is an assistant professor of the Corporate Communications Department of Eurecom. He has been working on mobile code security and Internet security since he joined Eurecom in October 1998.
