Course Description

The goal of this course is to cover a number of technologies that make up the World Wide Web. Besides covering the basics, the course also surveys major distributed systems and architectures that support today's web services and applications.

Lessons will be held both by Prof. Michiardi and by external lecturers, working in international companies where web technologies represent a core business.

The course is complemented by a term project (performed during the semester and during the lab hours). The goal of the Term Project is for the students to familiarize with web-technologies partially illustrated during classes.
