Students who want to pursue a PhD and are interested in working in my research areas are always welcome to contact me. Please see my research section and my publications section to get an idea of my research interests. Please note that due to my personal research inclination, I will generally hire students with a good mathematical background (in the areas of probability, stochastic processes, statistics, game theory or optimization) and a strong taste for theoretical work. When contacting me, it is best to send me a personalized email explaining your motivation and interest in my research and to include:
If you already have publications, it is a good idea to also send me the paper that you consider your best, together with an explanation of your contribution to the work presented in the paper (preferably send me a paper that you have mostly written yourself, if any).
- your CV;
- a list of courses followed in the past years, together with your grades;
- at least 2 recommendation letters or the name of at least 2 references who can support your application (preferably professors or researchers who have supervised your work in the past).
