The focus of our research group is to develop and experiment techniques for the analysis, processing, indexing and filtering of Multimedia information.

We are studying mechanisms to automatically analyze Multimedia information and direct it to the right users. This includes a whole range of problems, from content extraction based on recognition techniques, content understanding based on parsing, multimedia content description languages (MPEG7), similarity computation for applications such as information retrieval, and user personalization and user interaction for the construction of applications.

We are interested in a number of problems related to video analysis, such as visual similarity, scene and object detection and recognition, semantic classification, summarization.
