Short Bio
Francesco Albanese was born in Turin in 1984. After a high-school education focused on classical humanistic subjects,
he chose to turn his parallel passion for computer science into subject of academical study, attending Politecnico di Torino.
He received a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering in September 2006 and in April 2009, respectively.
During his Master, he participated to a joint program between Politecnico and Institut Eurecom, spending a year in France, where he continued to specialize in networking topics. After, he had the opportunity to write his Master Thesis working as intern at Swisscom Innovations (Bern, Switzerland), where he analyzed security issues on Open Mobile Systems. In November 2008 he got a diploma from Eurecom in Computer Engineering.
In May 2009 Francesco rejoined Eurecom as Ph.D. student under the supervision of Pietro Michiardi : now he works on Peer-assisted Content Distribution Networks.
