- In 2003, he obtained a PhD degree in communication systems from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL).
- In 2000, a M.Sc. degree in networking from Nice Sophia-Antipolis university.
- In 1998, a B.Sc. degree in mathematics from Shahid Beheshti university, Tehran, Iran.

Teaching
- Teaching graduate-level courses in layer 2/3 design for wireless networks.
- Participating in continuing education programs for industry on specific topics of interest in wireless networking and mobile computing.

Industrial Experience
- Involved in many collaborative research projects with industry and research laboratory in the area of wireless networking and mobile computing, and in technology transfer towards companies.
- Leading embedded system and radio integration teams from 2005 to 2009 at 3Roam, an innovative startup in Sophia-Antipolis, France, developing an advanced backhaul platform for high speed all-IP wireless networking.

Major research interest
- Reconfigurable layer 2/3 design for wireless networking as a fundamental property to adapt to service and application requirements as well as to network topologies and wireless conditions.
- Agile layer 2/3 protocols exploiting various techniques such as clustering, cooperation, opportunistic behavior, broadcasting, relaying, and joint-design, as a mean to improve the network performance.
- Methodology of hardware and software partitioning and co-design as a trade-off between cost, reconfigurability, and optimal system performance.

Visibility, Membership
- Session chairman of WiOpt’03 Conference, and co-organizer and committee member of MADNET 2002.
- Technical reviewer for several conferences and journals including IEEE Communication, IEEE-ICON, IEEE-ICNP, Elsevier COMNET, IJECE, WiOpt.
