He defended brilliantly his PhD thesis at EURECOM on Febbruary 29, 2008 : "Performance Optimization of MIMO Systems with Partial Channel State Information"

 

Ruben de Francisco received his Telecommunications Engineering degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, in 2003. He did his Master Thesis at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), USA, during the academic year 2002-2003. From September 2003 to December 2004 he was a systems engineer, working on design of service-providing systems for telecommunication networks.


In January 2005, he joined the Mobile Communications Department at Eurecom Institute to start his Doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dirk Slock.

His current research interests are scheduling for multi-user MIMO systems, precoder design in MIMO systems based on partial channel state information, transceiver design in wireless MIMO-OFDM and adaptive receivers for WCDMA systems.
