Speaker : Mari Kobayashi Associate Professor HDR, Supelec Title: MISO and erasure broadcast channels with state feedback: duality and applications. Abstract: In this talk, we consider two state-dependent broadcast channels (BC) with state feedback: multi-input single-output (MISO) BC and erasure BC. First, we provide an intuitive interpretation of well-known schemes achieving the optimal degrees of freedom region, the capacity region in MISO-BC, symmetric erasure-BC, respectively. In particular, we show that there exists a duality in terms of the order-j multicast DoF/capacity between two channels. Then, we apply this duality to various scenarios such as the content delivery in a cache-enabled network as well as the secured communication. This is a joint work with Sheng Yang and Asma Ghorbel. Bio: Mari Kobayashi received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan, in 1999 and the M.S. degree in mobile radio and the Ph.D. degree from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. From November 2005 to March 2007, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. In May 2007, she joined the Telecommunications department at CentraleSupélec, Gif-sur-Yvette, France, where she is now associate professor. Her current research interests include multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems, multiuser communication theory. She is the recipient of the Newcom++ Best Paper Award in 2010, the IEEE Joint Information Theory/Communications Society Best Paper Award in 2011. She is a senior member of IEEE.
