Implementing network protocols in Java - A framework for rapid prototyping
ICEIS 1999, International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems, March, 27-30, 1999, Sétubal, Portugal
This paper presents JChannels _, a framework to support the implementation of network protocols in Java. The goals of JChannels are the rapid development of structured, reusable, and configurable protocol stacks profiting from Java features like incorporate concurrency, portability, and runtime class loading. We present the JChannels architecture show how to work with JChannels, give an example implementation of a simple transport protocol, and provide some performance results.
