This talk will give an overview on the current research problems in deploying First-Person Shooter games in peer-to-peer networks to address open problems of the centralized architecture, namely scalability and cost. We explore the issues related to the achievement of a distributed game simulation, introducing the trade-off between reactiveness and consistency peculiar to the First-Person Shooter games. Moreover we will present the current solution we adopted, the open issues and the future work.
