Interference Management for Uncoordinated cellular Networks

Responsible(s)

  • KNOPP, Raymond

The project addresses interference management issues for uncoordinated or loosely coordinated future generation cellular systems deployments where the network operator has no or partial control on his

infrastructure. Typical examples of such systems are femtocell deployments for indoor usage or picocell deployments to address outdoor white spots.

This project focuses on the

design of cross-layer techniques for interference management at the physical and medium access layers along with experimental validation with software defined radios.
