- Pavlos Sermpezis was born in Greece in 1987.
- He received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a specialization in Telecommunications, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2011.

In November 2011, he joined the Mobile Communications Department at EURECOM as a PhD student under the supervision of Assistant Professor Thrasyvoulos Spyropoulos.
