Mario Pastorelli received his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Genoa in March 2011. In September 2010 he was an intern at EURECOM to complete his Master thesis. Mario focused on the design and the implementation of a peer-assisted backup system under the supervision of Dr. Matteo Dell'Amico and Assistant Professor Pietro Michiardi.
He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at EURECOM in the Networking and Security department under the supervision of Prof. Pietro Michiardi.
His research interests are on system, algorithmic, and performance evaluation aspects of large-scale distributed systems with applications to data analytics.
Mario is part of the distributed systems group headed by Assistant Professor Michiardi.
