Etudes

  • Miltiades Filippou was born in Athens, Greece in 1984.
  • He received his Dipl. Eng. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2007 (with specialization in Electronics and Systems). His Diploma thesis entitled: "Measurements using a GTEM cell" was supervised by Prof. Philip Constantinou.
  • In May 2011, he joined the Mobile Communications Department at EURECOM where he is conducting his Ph.D studies under the supervision of Prof. David Gesbert.
  • His current research interests include: wireless communications systems, channel estimation, adaptive and MIMO techniques, applications of game theory and digital signal processing.
     

Expérience

  • From November 2007 until July 2009 he was occupied at the Wireless Communications laboratory of the same school as a postgraduate researcher in the area of satellite communications, where he conducted research in the area of fade mitigation techniques.
  • During the period of 08/2009 - 10/2010 he served his mandatory military service, initially as a Candidate Reserve Officer (Research & Informatics - RI), then as a Probationary Reserve Officer (RI) and finally as a Reserve Second Lieutenant (RI). He spent the final period of his service as an Assistant Network Administrator at the Centre of Information Technology Support of the Hellenic Army (KEPYES), Athens Greece.
