  • Development of practical and scalable Bayesian inference methods for Gaussian Process-based statistical models.
  • Statistical methods for early stage diagnosis of neurological disorders based on neuroimaging data.
  • Bayesian inference in mechanistic models applied to systems biology.

  • In July 2018: ANR-JCJC Grant Award: "ECO-ML: Rethinking Modern Machine Learning Tools for a New Generation of Low-Power Large-Scale Modeling Systems"  (2019-2021)
  • In April 2016, he has been awarded an AXA Chair position for the duration of 7 years from the AXA Research Fund (2016-2022) 
  • In 2015, he reveived the "Special Mention" Poster Award for the poster "Scalable stochastic gradient-based inference for gaussian processes" (AMLGM 2015)
  • In 2010, he received an Award from the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR) for the Best Paper published in the Journal "Pattern Recognition".
