Biography
Education
- Erik-Oliver Blass joined EURECOM's Network Security team as Researcj Engineer. His current work focuses on security and privacy aspects in RFID systems, in particular communication protocols between 'tags' and 'readers'.
- Before joining EURECOM, he received his Dipl.-Inform. and his Dr. rer. nat. (with distinction) from Universität Karlsruhe (TH) in ITM, Germany.
- In his previous work, he investigated new security aspects of wireless sensor networks, where strong adversaries are able to compromise resource-limited nodes, and therefore only "better-than-nothing security" guarantees are possible.
- For his thesis on secure, aggregating data transport in wireless sensor networks, Erik received the GDD-Award for the best PhD thesis on research in security.
