Wireless Vehicular Networks In the last few years, wireless vehicular networks have received a lot of attention. These networks are a special kind of wireless networks where vehicles, equipped with a particular electronic device, can communicate with each other (V2V) and with potential infrastructures (V2I). The existence of such networks opens the way for a large range of applications
Large Scale Simulation Platform for Vehicular communications The iTETRIS project aims to create a long-term global, sustainable, open vehicular communication and traffic simulation platform facilitating large scale (city level), accurate, multidimensional evaluation of cooperative ICT solutions for mobility management. Public Safety Networks This research subject started with the work done in ICT projects : WIDENS et CHORIST. It continues with the HNPS project that envolves developments of protocols for rapidly deployable Mesh networks. OpenairInterface.org gives an overview of the technology developed in this framework. Ad hoc network connection continuity for security applications The scope of this work is to combine Host Identity Protocol (HIP) and the Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) in order to have a secure global and localized mobility management scheme for service and connection continuity applicable to any kind of access technology used by rescue teams. Critical Information Dissemination This work is done in the framework of the RATCOM project addressing the Alerting phase in case of a disaster situation (namely here a Tsunami). An auxiliary mechanism to aid in the distribution of warning messages for Emergency Alert Systems (EAS) has been designed. The main objectives of the proposed mechanism are to speed up and broaden the warning messages distribution process to provide to the public faster access to crucial information.
